CAIB Study Method Options

 

SELF-STUDY

Students learn at their own pace managing their individual studies using the educational materials provided until they feel prepared to challenge the exam.

Cost: There is no fee to register

CAIB WEBINARS (Evening)

IBANS will offer interactive webinar opportunities for those wishing to complete CAIB modules on-line.

Webinars are conducted:

  • for a prescribed number of weeks/nights per week
  • by an approved facilitator.
  • scheduling of each webinar will be dependent on achieving the minimum number of participants required to run the course, with the goal of offering each module at least once within a twelve-month period.

Cost

Member - $220 + HST      
Non-member - $495 + HST

Exam sold separately

Once students have completed the final session they can challenge the exam. 

 

CAIB IMMERSIONS

Students immerse themselves in five full days of intensive classroom study with an approved facilitator.  Once students have completed the final session they can challenge the exam.  Suspended until further notice due to COVID restrictions.

CAIB EXAMS

With the introduction of online exams the Association will no longer be including this item in the cost of the course. Exams must be purchased separately.

All exams for CAIB are conducted online and require a proctor.  Exams are taken through a third party provider, CAPTUS PRESS and students must register and pay this before writing from the My Course area of your profile page.

  • All CAIB exams (modules 1-4) are 3.5 hours and marks will be posted to each students profile page within 1-2 weeks after writing.  The pass mark is 60%.
