Young Broker Network
The Young Broker Network (YBN) was created to provide a mechanism for broker members (under 40) and those new to the industry (less than 5 years) to connect and build their professional capacity through education and industry involvement.
YBN Benefits:
- Opportunities to share ideas and perspectives specific to YBN activities;
- Participation in educational opportunities geared towards emerging professionals;
- Forge relationships within the insurance community;
The activities of the YBN are coordinated by the Young Broker Committee (YBC). This sub-committee of IBANS consists of eight volunteer broker peers which liaise information between Association staff and the board. One of the primary goals of the YBC is to raise awareness of the broker profession as a rewarding career choice and to foster young brokers, thereby ensuring the sustainability of the broker distribution channel.
- Membership in the YBN is FREE for brokers who are under 40 years of age or new to the industry within the past five years and employed by a member brokerage. Individuals must also possess a Nova Scotia general insurance license.
To receive YBN specific information and event updates just complete the YBN section of your IBANS membership profile by logging into the Member Area.
Be sure to follow the YBN on Facebook NSYBN and Instagram @ybn_ns
