Job Description / Duties

Archway Insurance is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Executive for its team in Halifax. To succeed in this position, you must have a solid background in personal insurance sales and genuinely enjoy working with people. You are a self-starter that works well on your own, while contributing to a positive team environment. The Personal Lines Account Executive is an in-office sales position focused on responding to new business inquiries for personal insurance received via referrals, phone, email, website or walk-ins. The Personal Lines Account Executive is responsible for managing the relationship from initial contact to successful placement of the client with the insurance market of choice. Specific duties will include:
1.Responding to incoming requests for insurance via various channels including but not limited to referrals, phone, email, website or walk-ins.
2.Meeting set targets for writing new personal lines business.
3.Following up on personal lines referrals from within the insurance brokerage.
4.Rounding out existing personal lines business within the brokerage as required.
5.Completing all necessary applications and following-up on any paperwork required for the successful placement of insurance business.
6.Attending trade shows/events as required for sales promotion.
7.Promotion of the brokerage within the community.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
oA minimum of three years experience in personal lines insurance
oPreference given to candidates with Level III General Insurance Brokers’ License, CIP or CAIB designation
oProven track record in sales with exposure to multiple insurance markets
oExcellent communications skills and attention to detail
oProficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
oA working knowledge of The Agency Manager (TAM) broker management system and Applied’s Rating Services are an asset
