Job Description / Duties

Here’s what you would be doing:
- Working with our Lead Broker, Sales and other colleagues to achieve overall sales objectives and KPIs.
- Handling new business leads (online and over the phone) for both home and auto.
- Proactively converting these leads into customers using the company’s sales processes and workflows.
- Identifying the insurance needs for each customer and making recommendations.
- Processing policy-change orders from customers when required.
- Supporting customers through the insurance claims process when required.
- Building strong relationships with customers to drive loyalty and increase retention.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of business processes to ensure customers have the latest tools and technology available to them.
- Being a brand advocate.

Qualifications / Required Skills

About you:
- You have (or are willing to obtain) a valid Nova Scotia Insurance License.
- You have exceptional and proven sales techniques, selling personal insurance products, and you have an ease with explaining these products over the phone.
- You are comfortable with technology and have an interest in emerging technologies.
- You have proficiency using a leading broker management system (Applied Epic or Agency Manager (TAM) preferred, but not required).
- You have experience working in a remote culture or can adjust your work style to be remote-ready.
- You are self-motivated and can work independently.
- You have the ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
- You work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- You have a positive attitude, are confident and competitive.
