Job Description / Duties

We are currently looking to fill the role of a Licensed Sales Representative at our head office in Antigonish. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective policy holders, while delivering exceptional customer service. You will demonstrate sound judgment through front line underwriting to determine risk eligibility. A strong communicator, you will be able to explain coverages and offer solutions to an existing client portfolio while looking for the right opportunities to grow your client book.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with policy holders
• Manage leads and provide quotes to prospective clients in a timely manner
• Recommend coverages based on individual customer needs
• Adhere to underwriting criteria set out by our insurance company partners
• Preparing home replacement valuation reports using EZITV or similar
• Ongoing commitment to expand your insurance industry knowledge
• Work in a collaborative team environment with all Company departments
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Experience in the insurance industry servicing personal lines P&C accounts
• A current and valid Level I General Insurance Agent License, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days
• Intent to obtain Level II General Insurance Agent License within one year
• Prior experience with Applied TAM an asset
• Availability to work at head office location in Antigonish, NS.

Salary: $42,000 - $47,000 depending upon qualifications
